Building Permits & Inspections

As of June 2018, the Town of Pierson has retained the building services of Universal Engineering Sciences. UES is a locally managed company and will have a Building Official in Pierson on Wednesdays. UES will review and issue permits and perform inspections upon the completion of work. If you need to discuss a permit issue with the Building Official please contact us by phone or e-mail.

Building Permit Applications​

Permit applications can be downloaded below. When submitting your application(s) to the Town of Pierson, please include two sets of of all supporting documents for review. We can accept permit applications by email at info@townofpierson.org only if the supporting documents are 5 pages or less. The original documents must be submitted at the time of payment.

For inspection requests you will need to indicate the following:

  • Name
  • Contact number
  • Date of inspection
  • Physical address
  • Permit Number
  • Type of inspection being requested

Inspections are performed when the Building Official visits Pierson each Wednesday. Appointments on any weekday other than Wednesday can be accommodated at an additional cost of $75.00 per day. Weekend inspections are an additional cost of $150.00. This must be paid in advance of the inspection at Pierson Town Center.
