The Town of Pierson will be closed Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10 in preparation for Hurricane Milton.
For Pierson residents needing transportation to a hurricane shelter, Volusia County Schools has arranged for two buses to pick up at Pierson Town Center, 116 W. 1st Avenue, on Wednesday, October 9 at 9:00 AM. These buses will provide transportation from Pierson to the DeLand High School shelter.

Volusia Sheriff's Office has partnered with the Town of Pierson to host its annual Backpack Giveaway. The event will take place at Pierson Town Center on Friday, August 9, 2024 between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Please bring your kids by to receive a free backpack, while supplies last!
