Free Tire Disposal Event for Volusia County Residents

County of Volusia is offering residents another free opportunity to dispose of old tires that can collect standing water and contribute to mosquito activity.

The Volusia County Mosquito Control Division will host a Tire Amnesty event from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Volusia County Fairgrounds, 3150 E. New York Avenue, Deland.

This is a drive-through event that allows residents to safely drop off unwanted tires at no cost. The event entrance will be clearly marked, and staff will be on site to direct vehicles through the designated drop-off route. Tires may only be dropped off during event hours.

Residents may bring up to 20 tires per household. Tires must be off the rim, and only residential tires will be accepted. Proof of Volusia County residency, such as a driver's license or other government-issued identification, is required.

Tires from commercial businesses or auto shops will NOT be accepted.
