North Road Closure

North Road Closure - May 19-23, 2025
UPDATE May 23, 2025: The culvert replacement on North Road is complete and the roadway is now open.
North Road will be closed beginning May 19, 2025 while Volusia County replaces the culvert damaged by Hurricane Milton. The entire road will be closed from S. Volusia Avenue (County Road 3) to Western Avenue.
National Day of Prayer 2025

Free Pet Rabies Vaccines & Microchips

Volusia County Animal Services will be at Chipper Jones Park in Pierson on May 12, 2025 from 9:00am to 12:00pm, providing free rabies vaccines and microchips for residents' pets.
USDOT Project Open House - Thursday, March 27, 2025

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a project open house regarding plans to repave U.S. 17 (State Road (S.R.) 15) from south of East 4th Avenue to West Palmetto Avenue on Thursday, March 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The purpose of this project is to extend the service life of the existing roadway by resurfacing all travel lanes within the project limits. The project will also upgrade pedestrian curb ramps as needed to comply with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
New Water Billing System

The Town of Pierson recently updated its water billing system to gWorks. In the coming days, you should receive a new water bill in the mail. The new billing system does not use bill cards. You will receive your bill in an envelope.

Change to Council Meeting Days

The Town Council voted by Resolution to change the scheduled council meeting days from the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month to the first and third Tuesdays of each month. This change will take effect immediately. The next scheduled council meeting will be held at Pierson Town Center on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 6:30 PM.

The Town of Pierson will be closed on Tuesday, December 24th and Wednesday, December 25th in observance of the Christmas holiday. We will resume normal business hours on Thursday, December 26th.
